Domenico Mannelli

Composer / Performer

Domenico Mannelli is an Italian composer, arranger, songwriter and performer based in Denmark. He worked for many years in Italy as a musician and performer in theatre before moving to Denmark to work with Altamira Studio Teater – an international theatre company in residence at “Odin Teatret” in Holstebro from 2014 to 2017. For this company he wrote and performed the music for several performances: “The River – Dream of a poet”, “By Heart – Theater concert for another time” and “Playroom – Acts without words”.

For Ensemble Advena, he has written the original music for the performances “Circle of Silence”, “Betroelser om Sollys”, and is currently writing on new material for future projects.

Domenico has a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Rome, and a 2 year Masters in Rhythmic Composition from Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.

Johanne Lange

Singer / Performer

With a background in devising and ensemble theatre, Johanne is a Danish singer, voice teacher and performance maker. In her work and research, she focuses on song, rhythm and dance traditions from the world. She works collaboratively and across disciplines, with a particular curiosity for bringing traditional expressions of music and dance into contemporary contexts of performance.

She studied at London International School of Performing Arts and with leading members of Teatr Pieśń Kozła at Rose Bruford College before moving back to Denmark to focus on music & movement studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.

At present, she performs with the vocal groups Trækfugl, Nevesta’s Voice and Vokalselskabet GLAS.

She won 2 Danish Music Awards ‘Roots’ with Nevesta’s Voice (2021), and a Reumert theatre award with Teaterhuset Filuren for the family performance “Duften af Betlehem” (2023).
