Orpheus and Eurydice Project

Orpheus & Eurydice is a transdisciplinary performance that reimagines the ancient myth through ritual, sound, and physical storytelling. Drawing from Orphic traditions and the graphic works of Danish artist Palle Nielsen, the project explores the thresholds between life and death, the visible and the invisible, the human and the mythic.

Through movement, voice, and a spatialized sonic environment, we investigate how grief and longing transform the body, shaping both individual experience and collective ritual. Traditional lamentations intertwine with original compositions, creating an immersive soundscape that evokes the underworld as a shifting, atmospheric landscape.

The work unfolds in non-conventional spaces, treating architecture as an active partner in the dramaturgy. Here, Orpheus’ journey becomes not only a myth revisited, but a contemporary reflection on separation, memory, and the desire to speak across worlds.
